On 4th November the work of Fortunato Depero reaches the building Palazzo Sangallo in Tolentino. At 5:00 p.m, in the hall Sala Mari, the public traveled through time thanks to Evio Hermas Ercoli, art director of BIUMOR, discovering the futurist design at the time of the Great War, narrated through videos, sound effects and the art of one of its most renowned personalities.

The MIUMOR displayed for the occasion a work by Fortunato Depero called "I pagliaccetti", the original painting of the so-called Fondazione Carima: the saving banks foundation of the province of Macerata. The first Futurism wanted to "bring art to everyone's life" but it restricted to the expression of traditional art forms such as painting and sculpture. After the "heroic Futurism", the one developed between 1909 and 1915, the so-called Second Futurism arised.
A hundred years ago Depero wrote a manifesto with Balla: "Futurist Reconstruction of the Universe", that became essential. From a strong and joyful abstract art, Futurism enters people's everyday life through the applied arts: scenic design, interior design, advertising and fashion...
The break is dramatically represented by the last months of 1915, when the artistic enthusiasm of a generation was stopped by the war.
In 1915 Depero partook in the irredentist movements and went to the front, but he fell ill and was sent home. It ends in this way, with the parable of a young interventionist, the BIUMOR season dedicated to the First World War hundredth anniversary. The meeting, scheduled in collaboration with Unitre, will be dedicated to the production of the most energic exponent of the second Futurism, prophet of "applied arts" and genius of the 1920's advertising world.
