The Municipality of Tolentino organises the 30th Biennale Internazionale dell'Umorismo nell'Arte (30th Festival of Humour in Art) – a prize contest divided into two sections:

  • Premio Internazionale Città di Tolentino” (City of Tolentino International Award”) - for humorous art on the subject of Hatred

Hatred is a deep-rooted feeling.

Hatred expresses passionate repulsion.

Hatred yearns to destroy the most despised thing.

Hatred makes you feel a decent human being whilst destroying the thing you loathe.

Hatred can be directed at a nation, an ideology, a faith, a race, a policy, an individual.

Hatred allows for finding the bond that strengthens social cohesion in a common enemy.

Hatred is fiercely spread through social media.

Hate speech thrives on social media and via the internet a large part of society is infiltrated by contempt and resentment.

  • Premio Luigi Mari” (“Luigi Mari Award ”) for caricatures of illustrious figures.

The deadline to enter the contest is October 4, 2019.
